Traditional Treatment Process For A Lumbar Pain Patient and The DRX9000

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

As our society continues to grow and our personal health diminishes due to poor eating habits or stress, the number of back pain problems may increase dramatically over the next decade. Traditional treatment methods for the relief of back pain have remained constant, but a relatively new treatment option referred to as non-surgical spinal decompression therapy utilizing the DRX9000, has demonstrated great promise in the treatment of chronic back pain. Up to this point, it has not been entirely integrated into the continuum of care in treating back pain, but that has not stopped many physicians from offering or recommending the treatment to their patients.

There are hundreds of doctors among the various specialties that are currently offering this treatment option. Most specialists offer back pain sufferers some sort of technique or a particular level of expertise. Although the backgrounds and expertise of physicians that offer this particular treatment option may vary, the outcome of the DRX9000 protocol and the health benefits that result from treatment on the DRX9000 remain consistent.

The Initial Process

Most back pain sufferers begin their treatment process at the general practitioner’s office. Considering back pain is a common problem, it would be easy to assume that the general practitioner is an expert in the treatment of back pain. This may not be the case.

The primary care physician will assist in determining if the pain is serious or not. After reviewing the medical history and the test results of the patient, the primary care physician will then determine what the next step should be. Pain medication, bed rest and exercise may be prescribed. In addition, a visit with a back pain specialist may be recommended.

Back Pain Doctors Who May Offer the DRX9000 Treatment

In the past, chiropractic care was not given much attention by the medical community. However, chiropractors are now considered to be the alternative treatment experts by providing care through spinal adjustments. Similar to how medical doctors have distinct specialties, chiropractic care techniques may differ among chiropractors.

Osteopaths look at a patient from a more “complete” point of view. They may look into environmental, stress, social, psychological and physical factors. Although an osteopath may prescribe pain medication and surgery, they focus more on the relationship of the organs and the musculoskeletal system. Emphasizing a holistic approach, osteopaths focus on the benefits of spinal manipulation.

A physical therapist manually focuses on the joints, muscles and soft tissues. Along with prescribed treatment, a physical therapist may also educate patients on how to properly stretch and move about with a painful back. Most physical therapists today specialize in spine and neck therapy.

A medical doctor who specializes in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and spinal cord injuries is the physiatrist. A physiatrist may also have a subspecialty in sports medicine. They may treat back injuries or post-surgery problems with epidural injections. However, considered to be experts in non-surgical treatment options, a physiatrist may stick to an exercise regimen and the use of back braces.

As a bone and joints specialist, an orthopedist may meet with patients at all levels of care. An orthopedist may prescribe drugs, along with tests to determine if a patient is a surgical candidate. Even though orthopedic surgeons administer surgical procedures, they often treat patients non-surgically.

Neurosurgeons diagnose and treat disorders of the spine, nerve tissue and peripheral nerves both non-surgically and surgically.

As more back pain specialists learn about the healthcare benefits of utilizing the DRX9000 for the treatment of back pain, the more likely it is to be offered by most specialties. Although non-surgical spinal decompression therapy has not yet been incorporated into the established curriculum of back pain care, it may not be long before it is considered the standard for the treatment of back pain.

If you are suffering from a back pain condition and would like to find out if you’re a candidate for this procedure, contact your nearest DRX9000 physician to learn more.

Compare the best equine insurance companies and effect your favorable insurance form

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

On the German insurance market there are many horse insurance vendors. As a horse owner it is not easy to find the best provider and contract for your specific needs. How are you able to find the right horse insurance at a good price? The following site offers a free comparison of German horse liability insurances: Pferde Haftpflicht. There you can start your individual horse owner insurance comparison instantly. You will get the right horse liability insurance quotation from a great number of insurance companies.

Who should contract horse liability insurance? Every responsible horse owner should have a liability insurance against the current risk. Because every horse once can cause a damage. Here are some important aspects which should be considered when thinking about such insurance and searching the best solution:

Without a horse owner insurance every horse owner carries a very high risk of liability when his four-legged friend once causes a damage. If the horse runs over the street and causes a traffic accident, one can be held liable for all damages of persons and vehicles. If you do not have a equine insurance, it is the victim that confronts you personally with their charges. You then have to decide whether to pay or to dispute by yourself or to mandate a attorney. A equine insurance would have done all that for you. Then you do not stand alone in the event of damage but have professional support by your side.

Your equine insurance also takes over the legal costs of the victim, which you had to pay by yourself without such coverance. Having such insurance, the clerk of your insurance works for you on the claims made by the injured party. So you have a professional by your side to decide which claims are right and which are not. It is not necessary to visit all the horse insurance providers by oneself when looking for a good solution. You can obtain an online comparison and even effect your insurance here: Haftpflichtversicherung fuer Pferde. If your horse causes an accident or other damage, the injured party will charge you personally if you do not have a horse owner insurance. Then you will have to cover with your complete private equity for possible damage. With a liability insurance for your horse you can also get help if unjustified demands are put on you as the owner.

Without having a horse insurance, you must deal by yourself with the demands of the victim or you need to mandate a attorney to do so for you. The favorable annual premium payment for a equine insurance protects you from a high financial risk. By arranging a own contribution you can reach nice savings concerning the contribution payment. Your equine insurance manages the handling of the case and the claims of third parties. If your insurance comes to the conclusion that you are not liable for something, they help you even if anyone sues you therefore.

Cool Gadgets And Services

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Electric cars seem to be getting a lot of press lately. Recently, Tesla’s electric car was featured on Top Gear. The car has very good performance and can last a reasonable distance before needing to be recharged. With a price tag of around $100K, though, it definitely isn’t cheap. You can always try doing an electric car conversion on your current car, but this will require a lot of work and time. Also, since gas prices have dropped a lot in the last few months, the idea of an electric car isn’t as appealing compared to when gas cost $4/gallon. Still, the Tesla roadster is a pretty sweet looking car, and electric cars have a number of other advantages too.

Another gadget that’s becoming more and more popular by the day is the Apple iPhone. The problem is that it is locked on to AT&T as the service provider by default, which is why people are searching for ways to unlock iphone. This way, you can use a different service provider. There is lots of cheap software on the internet that can unlock your iphone.

Finally, another cool thing that has been popular for a while now is the ability to lookup someones phone number. A reverse phone lookup will give you the name, address and more of the owner of the phone number you enter. There are a few online services that can lookup phone numbers for you, and they typically have millions of numbers in their database (so you can be fairly sure that they’ll have details on the number you’re looking for).

Two Easy Pieces of Advice to Knock-Out Cold Sores

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

There are millions of people who have cold sores, it’s no wonder there’s thousands of searches for “cold sore cure” done on the internet each month.  Cold sores are one of the most annoying skin conditions out there and anyone who has ever gotten one knows how crushing they can be to your self image.

So we’re going to look at a couple of tips you can use to not only prevent cold sores, but also things you can do to stop cold sores when they make an appearance.  I know of many people who want to do nothing but stay home whenever they get an outbreak.  They can hinder your appearance and make you feel ugly.  I hate to sound harsh, but that’s the truth of the situation.  Hopefully these tips help to prevent any cold sores from entering your life.

Did you know that the sun can be a cause of cold sores?  Because of this, try to wear sunscreen around your mouth.  You can find lip balms or chapsticks with SPF protection – make a point to invest in one of these and use it often.  Even if the sun isn’t beating down it’s still a good idea.  It’s the UV rays that will cause a cold sore and these rays are still out there even when the sun isn’t out in full force.

Second, carry an antibacterial lotion with you and apply it every couple of hours.  There have been certain types of bacteria that are proven to cause cold sores, so it’s crucial to always keep your hands clean.  You touch your face several times a day so the last thing you want to do is transfer some gunk to your face that leads to a cold sore!  Using an antibacterial gel will knock-out any bad germs.

Those were just two pieces of advice that can make a big difference in the fight against cold sores.  They will help prevent cold sores from appearing and give you an extra level of protection on top of your regular treatments.

Buy Digital Camera Tips

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Are you going to buy a digital camera? Here are a few suggestions on how to buy the digital camera that’s right for you.

Brands

Do your research for a digital camera under one specific brand. Switching back and forth between different brands can create unnecessary confusion. Brands do share common basic functions, but obviously they don’t all share the same technological features which make a brand different or unique… maybe even better for what you want from a digital camera. For example, the SD750 has a feature that automatically focuses in on a subject’s face.

Megapixel

Don’t let megapixels be the only deciding factor for choosing your digital camera. More megapixels in a digital camera doesn’t necessarily mean better picture or print quality. Although the trend has been for digital camera manufacturers to offer 8, 10 or 12 megapixel digital cameras, Consumer Reports research shows that a 7 megapixel digital camera is adequate for the average digital camera user. The Canon SD750 Digital Camera has a resolution of 7.1 megapixels and has many favorable reviews.

Zoom

Just remember the most important thing about zoom on a digital camera; optical and digital zoom are not the same. Digital zoom or magnification is achieved through the software within camera. Whereas, optical zoom is magnification through the camera lens and is higher quality that what can be achieve from digital zoom. Consider what types of pictures you will be taking. Automatic point and shoot digital cameras such as the Canon SD750, have 3x optical zoom and regular or hobbyist camera users will be happy. Anyone who will be taking sports or nature pictures may want a camera with 10x optical zoom lens or more.

Social Media Marketing Continues to Grow

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Social media marketing growth has been amazing since they initially showed up on the radar screen and appeared on the scene in 2005.

Sites like YouTube which sold for $1.5 billion to Google, Digg which is reportedly looking to sell for between 40 and $50 million, Twitter, MySpace, Facebook which received around $300 million in funding from Microsoft, Ning, Stumbleupon, Propeller, Mixx, DailyMotion, Odeo, and various others have all built tribal and rabid community followings.

These sites and this overall philosophy of websites have been dubbed Web 2.0.

Unfortunately, many businessmen and even many venture capitalists and company founders are questioning the business models of these various Web 2.0 websites and social networking sites.

The question is becoming, “where is the money at?”

And it’s a viable question to solve in order for social media and its Web 2.0 compatriots to continue to experience this rapid user adoption and overall company growth.

Profitable and sustainable business models have to be attained for each various site without destroying their rabid community user base.  You don’t want to piss off the natives or your site dies.

Of course, on the flip side you have bandwidth, hosting, infrastructure, employees and other hard overhead costs which have to be paid for by someone at the very least during your growth in order for your site to survive.

These challenges are creating various creative solutions.

Facebook in particular released what they thought was a killer profit pulling software called Beacon which gave advertisers access to much of their account holders data which allowed the advertisers better targeting and ROI.

Beacon was terminated because of user outcry over privacy issues.

But the issue of how to profit with social media marketing and these various tribal user bases in the social media space is still very relevant.

It’s hard to say where this is headed and whether we’re on the cusp of Web 3.0 in the near future.

One thing is definitely certain in the hyper evolving world of the Internet. Social networking sites and Web 2.0 is even more supercharged and hyperfast evolving than the overall web in general.

Learning the manners for how to grow your business using these already pre-existing tribes on various sites is critical of utmost importance.

Each site seems to have its own etiquette and acceptable modes of practice for communicating with those members of that tribe.

One thing about these social spaces is if you come in as a blatant marketer or with overt advertising you’re going to lose, damage your business reputation, and even get flamed and called a spammer…a death sentence on the Internet.

So just get to know one site which you like and start participating there.  Take it slow over 30 days to see how the community members correspond and communicate with one another.

Once you have the basic manners down you can start to intertwine some of your website promotion efforts into your communications.  You want this to be very natural and an extension of the accepted communication modes within that site and tribe.

This may seem like it’s going to take a great time investment but the benefits of doing a some covert observation up front will pay you massive dividends.

And of course if you fail in this area whatever time you spend will be 100% down the drain without any return on your investment.

Get started in one of the massive spaces like Twitter, Facebook, MySpace or Digg and play around to discover which site you like and best and will continue to participate in.  Contribute a whole bunch in conversations with various members and you will start to see dividends.

Just make sure you have your goals in mind at the start of what and you want to accomplish and guide your activities where you’re spending your time in order to accomplish those goals.

Why Anybody Can Use The Nikon D300

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

At first, the Nikon D300 may look a little intimidating. This is especially true if you have already read a lot of reviews about it and are quite aware of its many new features. However, you have to remember that the D300 is like the big brother that the Nikon D200 never had. Yes, it has been overhauled and yes it may seem like it’s a totally different camera but there is a big BUT after such a statement. It still has the same familiarity that you once felt with your old Nikon digital SLRs BUT it absolutely kicks more ass!

Is this stuff all new to you? Well, even if you are a total stranger to Nikon or even a complete newbie in being a photographer and if you know practically nothing about it, the Nikon D300’s control layout is so user-friendly, reasonable and well organized that the moment you set your eyes on it, you will instantly feel comforted. It doesn’t hurt either that the labels are so plain, precise and helpful. If somehow you find yourself in the middle of a situation where the need to make more technical adjustments becomes apparent, you can always consult the top-mounted LCD. The most common of the settings, like white balance, ISO and bracketing, are easily changed by holding the button on the left side of the camera and flicking the command wheel to browse through the options. Finally, a push on the info button shows all the existing shooting data on the main LCD.

Check out our Nikon D300 Review – Click Here

But if you’re still not the “learning by doing” type who usually will just swing it, you can always try to study the manual first (oh yeh!). Most of the questions that you’ll have are going to be answered in one of the pages of the very detailed manual that accompanies your Nikon D300, so make sure you out it to good use. Should, by any remote chance, your question not be answered fully in the manual then you can always use Nikon’s comprehensive tutoring site.

Additionally, if that does not resolve your problem then you’ll find literally hundreds of sites, by doing a Google search, which will guide you, every step of the way, in your adventure that is the Nikon D300. With so many different sources of information its now so easy for anybody who’s into photography or at least curious about it to learn and understand their new powerful digital SLR camera – there is absolutely no need to be afraid of the techno babble. That’s a promise. In using your D300, you will realize that focusing an onscreen image manually is a lot less troublesome than with the other SLRs.

The Nikon D300 is a far greater step forward than its specs would suggest. With its solid design, excellent handling and robust, weather-sealed build quality, the Nikon D300 offers, professional and amateurs alike, quality at a reasonable price. The Nikon D300 is truly your doorway to faultless photography.

Tinnitus Causes – See The News Here

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

Symptoms of tinnitus However, the presence of tinnitus could be an indicator of other problems. Although I’ll go though the symptoms of tinnitus, I will also go over the underlying conditions that may cause it and what possible treatments are available.

However, you must start off by being aware that no medical cure currently exists for tinnitus. Treatments exist that minimize the symptoms of tinnitus, but they do not completely remove the affliction. For this reason, many tinnitus sufferers are now seeking out nontraditional therapies outside of the medical and pharmaceutical realm to deal with their disorder.

Symptoms tinnitus is that, one can hear voices and sounds which do not exist} Subjective tinnitus occurs when you are the only individual, nobody else, hears the sounds. But if a medical professional is able to hear the sounds, too, using specialized instruments, then this is called objective tinnitus. As far as I have heard of subjective tinnitus is the common condition

Symptoms suggesting inflammation of the eardrum that is noise differ according to the person concerned and the underlying cause(s). Can you hear any ringing sounds, tick, knock, scoffs, click, whooshing etc?You are affected with tinnitus as the sound is not coming from outside. If, after seeing a specialist and having tests done using special hearing equipment, they are unable to hear the sounds you’re hearing, then you have subjective tinnitus, which is the predominant form of the affliction.}

They are many conditions that cause the symptoms of tinnitus, which are problems with the inner ear, damage to auditory nerves, tinnitus from exposure to loud noise, head trauma, whiplash, meniere’s disease, otosclerosis, blocked eustachian tube, and overusing aspirin.

The specialist you see will usually use one or more of these treatments: drug therapy, complementary treatments, biofeedback, tinnitus maskers, and, in extreme cases, surgery.

You may find relief after natural treatment for tinnitus, depending on the severity of your tinnitus. According to research, roughly 93% of tinnitus sufferers never recover. A cure has not been found even though there are several different medical research programs looking for one which can be clinically proven.

Where do you plan on finding a cure for tinnitus? Similar to a lot of people around the world, it may be a good idea to invest some time searching for a proven alternative non-medical solution. In some other words the techniques, and the exercise etc. It can be done on your own at your home if you are fond of.

The information found here is for researching purposes only. No treatment is implied. As with any condition it is advisabale to talk with a health professional when considering medical advice.

How to stop acid reflux

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

Has it been another one of those nights where the pain of acid reflux has kept you awake and miserable? Perhaps you are worried about going to the doctor because you fear what the treatment may be to get lasting help. Although you still need to see your doctor, there are many other things you can do to help stop acid reflux.

Your Sleeping Habits:

If you have acid reflux, don’t go to sleep right after eating. Don’t lie down on the couch and watch TV, either. You need to sit up for at least a half hour after eating, to help keep your food and the digestive acids in place. By lying down right away, the food and digestive acids are just going to come right back up your throat.
Pile up your pillows so that you are not sleeping flat on your back and can’t be woken up with acid reflux. There are special foam pillows and wedges marketed as GERD pillows or anti-snoring pillows that can help keep your head up all night. They take a few nights to get used to.

Other Practical Advice:

If you are serious about how to stop acid reflux, stop wearing tight clothes. That presses against your digestive system like a hand squeezing a tube of toothpaste.

You also need to stop smoking, as tobacco smoke irritates your entire digestive system, as well as your throat. If you ever needed an excuse to quit, this is it!

You need to cut down or eliminate alcoholic beverages, too, as this puts on weight but also irritates your digestive system. If you can’t cut them completely out, please water down your drinks. Substitute at least one drink with a cup of herbal tea.

How Many Levels of Dyslexia Testing Are There?

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

You might have seen the term “dyslexia” being used and wondered, as many do, just what is dyslexia anyhow? What exactly does it mean? I see it being used in lots of different ways and it is unclear what it really is.

There is the strict academic definition that says that dyslexia is a compound word made up of “dys” (as in dysfunctional) meaning problems with or not working, and “lexia”, having to do with books and reading. Then there is the commonly used definition that refers to a whole constellation of different types of dyslexia, affecting hearing, planning, time consciousness, ability to recognize symbols for numbers, etc. in addition to reading.

How many people have dyslexia? And how can you tell if you are dyslexic or not?

About 10-15% of the general population has some form of dyslexia that affects them to some degree. There are various symptoms, but the only way to know for sure if you are dyslexic or not is to go through dyslexia testing.

Actually there are two levels of testing: Screening Testing and Full Dyslexia Testing. Screening testing is used to find people with some possible dyslexia symptoms, enough that would justify a full test.

In the last few months a highly accurate professional test has been tested and is now available online. This means you can take a home dyslexia test from the privacy of your office or home.

If you have any dyslexia symptoms it is very important to get yourself tested. Practically all of the problems of dyslexia can be overcome fairly easily, once they have been identified.
